I have been wanting one of these small battery chainsaws for some time now, but I was waiting for a saw with better specifications and this saw meets my requirements. There are many of this type of chain saw on the market but most fall short in quality and power. What makes a small battery powered chainsaw superior to other saws. First off, a brushless motor that will run cooler, use less energy and last much longer than a brush motor. This saw is well made and has a 20 volt brushless motor with a large 4000MAH battery and will run considerably longer than a smaller battery that has less cutting power. This saw is rated at 880 watts which is a little over one horsepower. You can tell that this saw has good cutting power, and it does not feel cheap. This is an eight inch saw to cut larger branches with a fairly fast chain speed of 33 ft/sec. This saw has an automatic oiling feature, that you do not have to pump to oil the chain and bar. The saw's motor and chain run smoothly with minimum vibration, and the sound is around 80db which is not distracting. The saw comes with two eight-inch bars and chains and the included chains cut very effectively with a swing up safety guard to cover the top of the chain. The saw has an automatic chain tensioner that keeps pressure applied to the chain for correct tension. This chainsaw will handle any cutting requirements around your home or even large branches up to eight inches in diameter. The saw comes in a nice hard case. I am glad that I waited!

I had an issue with the product where the charger flashed red and green with the provided battery. Customer service was quick to disgnose the issue as a faulty battery, and not the charger as I assumed since the battery worked on the tool. A replacement was then also quickly sent out. I then got to trying it out when knocking down a cherry laurel tree with fairly dense wood. It held up well over the two days over the two weeks I used it, mostly on 1/2 to 1 inch branches while cleaning up what I fell with my much more heavy-duty pole saw and 18 inch chainsaw. I was able to saw through multiple branches mostly in one motion at times to bundle and tie for the curb. And over those two days I still have nearly a full battery while using probably a solid 5-10 minutes each day for several second bursts of cuts. It even got through some 4 to 6 inch branches when my other chainsaws were getting dull or couldn't position easily into a spot I needed, while not bogging down much. I also like how this mini chainsaw has an oil reservoir unlike most other mini chainsaws. I should then have to deal less with bar and chain replacements, even though they also give you a spare each which is nice. As far as any negatives, the trigger safety switch is a bit annoying while trying to quickly make cuts, but just a bit of a muscle-memory to work on to not be of any issue.
